Second to Tenth Place

How Winners Are Selected

This is a skill-based photography competition. The number of entries submitted does not guarantee that a participant will be shortlisted or receive a prize.

Monthly Winners

During the submission period, CEWE also selects four monthly winners. These selected photographs qualify early for consideration in the final competition selection.

Participants therefore do not necessarily need to wait until the final May 2027 deadline before their work can receive recognition through the competition.

Winner Notification

CEWE contacts winners by email and/or postal communication. Winning photographs may also be published through the competition winner gallery.

A selected winner should respond promptly. If CEWE does not receive a response within 14 days after the winner notification, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen.

Copyright and Image Rights

The photographer retains copyright ownership of the submitted photograph.

By participating, the photographer grants CEWE permission to use the submitted image for non-commercial public-relations purposes connected with the photography competition. This may include competition exhibitions, related websites, social-media channels, print magazines and newsletters.

CEWE states that the photographer will be credited as the creator of the image. Separate permission is required for commercial use outside the competition-related authorization.

Can You Delete an Entry?

Participants can generally manage or remove submitted photographs through their CEWE competition account.

Photographs that have already been awarded or published may require a direct request to CEWE before removal.
